    Default o2 online upgrade question

I have been on contract with o2 for 12 months and see I can upgrade to a
k700i for £59.99 but if I were to sign up as a new contract it would cost me
nothing. I am already on o2 online 200. Can I get them to give me the
upgrade for free or will i have to cancel and sign up again?
Is a k700 worth going for?

call customer disconnections and ask for a PAC, and they will than
offer the handset for free, reduce line rental, etc..

Phone is free on Online 200 tariff but you'd have to agree to stay on it.

Phoned up and first guy told me it would be £29.99 so I said I would leave.
Disconnections said it would be free as long as I stayed on the online 200
so I agreed as long as terms and conditions stay the same. I like my tariff,
especially the inc. 0845/0870 etc and I make good use of the wap and
texts/mms. Ran out of rollover so building that up again. So, good stuff.

Shame happy hour doesn't apply though :-(

Disconnections are free regardless of the tariff that you are on so long as
you have completed your term. If this has changed I would like to know.

I personally would disconnect and reconnect. Whenever an offer is on for
new connections, and the tariffs have not changed and you don't mind texting
all your friends of your new number (not an issue when they give you 500
free texts), you should disconnect and reconnect. Saves money, allows you
to take advantage of current offers. Simple.

Sorry I meant the K700i would have been £29.99. I did point out to him that
it was silly I could disconnect/reconnect and get the phone anyway. But I
got the phone so am happy. Just have to play their game I guess.
