    Default boot loader question

Hi folks I am new here as you may realise. I have done a search for bootloader and got nothing. What is happening to me with my V3 is that when I press *+#+pwr on buttons I get nothing. To make it worse the phone goes dead and won't switch on. The only way to revive it is to remove the battery and start over!!

Welcome to the forum theboat. To get into Bootloader you should press *,# and power on ( Press all buttons at the same time) Will bring up the bootloader screen to show you BL version and S/W Version. To get out of bootloader its easy just hold the power down button. So when you try and go into bootloader you get nothing?

Bootloader is a important file in Motorola mobiles its used for flashing DRM, Fonts, Monster Packs. And without it your mobile whould not Boot.

To see the s/w on your mobile go into settings>phone status>other information>s/w version

Ok that is strange. Because when you press *,# and power on at the same time. A bootloader screen similair to this will show.

Or in your case should show. Try it again. And if it doesnt work. Let me have a think because i know there is a Moto flashing program which will display the current bootloader on your mobile just need to remember the name of it. Tell me your s/w version. You come from Western Australia I live up on the Gold Coast.

Hi again Thomas, I am all bulldust mate. The phone I lost last week was a V3, the one I have at the moment is a V500. So everything is different, I only realised it when trying your shortcut to SW version, that does not display either in fact it's not there!!

Dam you lost your V3, Are you going to get another one? Make sure you got a usb data cable for the mobile. If so you can download RSD Lite off Google, Connect the mobile & it will display the bootloader version & software version as well as some other stuff.
