Can the Razr V3X SD mem card be increased ??

Hi Everyone, Can anyone please advise; as I have seen umpteen claims on the net, what is the SD capacity of the V3X ??
I need to know IF its possible to increase the SD capacity to say 4, 6 or even 8 GB via possible firmware upgrade or patch. What do I need to do to achieve said request ? I must point out that I attempted to put in a 4 GB card and the phone would'nt even acknowledge it was there. I presently have a 2GB card in situ although it appears to only 'see' 1 GB. I am unaware at this time if the other gig is actually accessible or not. Any advise would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks one and all. Cheers.

Try using a micro SDHC card and it may work
Otherwise, i think not as it maybe a hardware limitation rather than a software one.

^ The limit for the V3x is 1gig. If you put a 2gig in it it will still read as a 1gig. That is caused by a Bug, Try updating your mobile with Motorola Software updater. It could fix the bug problem but may not give you the extra 1gig which you whould like.
